Making complex information comprehensible as you walk by
Time until infusion change, battery status, warnings, required protective clothing, bed occupancy… In order to decide what to do next, hospital staff in intensive care units must be able to gather a large amount of information at a glance. The biggest challenge therefore was to present an incredible amount of complex information and statuses clearly and in a meaningful hierarchy.

Among other things, a prioritization system was designed to show how urgently intervention is required and which infusion pump the staff must attend to next.

We implemented the requirements directly in the visual design based on Copra’s initial concepts.
Copra repeatedly consulted with hospital staff and validated our designs.
