Challenge

From the first MVP to a flexible and user-friendly interface

Having to price every single product by hand—that’s a time-consuming task even in small stores. Just imagine what a challenge that is in a car dealership with a huge sales floor. VISI/ONE solves this problem with digital price tags. The vision: to remotely monitor and update car prices and conveniently track sales status.

Our client initially implemented this vision as an MVP, which is intended to evolve into a comprehensive interface over time. To lay the groundwork for these future developments, VISI/ONE turned to us.

We redesigned the B2B application so that it could really take off with optimized user flows and improved usability. Our goal throughout the process was to create an interface that was as flexible as possible—one that VISI/ONE could build on for years to come while also delivering a great user experience. From the very beginning, we were able to win them over with our agile approach and lean, customized processes that seamlessly adapted to their requirements and workflows.

How it works

An intuitive app in 4 iterations

That’s how we managed to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical considerations

When designing the new app, we fully aligned ourselves with VISI/ONE’s development cycle: Through four iterations in two-week cycles, we collaborated to develop a prototype that is not only user-friendly and intuitive to use, but also flexibly expandable and adaptable to all future developments.

The iterations allowed us to discuss ideas and develop a shared understanding of the product, its technical limitations, and the business goals. The final concept therefore takes all technical specifics into account and aligns user needs with business requirements.

By carefully understanding VISI/ONE’s requirements and goals, we were even able to develop some ideas that went beyond the original objectives: For example, we added a feature that makes it possible to measure the performance of individual salespeople and the dealership as a whole. By tracking the car’s status (arrived, not ready for sale, ready for sale, sold), areas for optimization in the sales process can be identified, thereby minimizing downtime and increasing sales profit.

In the final step of the project, we put the finishing touches on the concept: The simple and understated design enhances usability and ensures a pleasant user experience. The clear specifications in the accompanying style guide enable VISI/ONE to design future elements in a consistent style—all while, of course, adhering to the corporate identity.

The result

Investing in usability testing pays off right from the start

A flexible, expandable interface with a great user experience

The result is a user-friendly, cross-platform app with a great user experience and a purpose-driven design. Furthermore, the concept is perfectly optimized for mobile devices: There are no functional differences between the mobile app and the web application.

The concept was subsequently adopted in its entirety by VISI/ONE and is being continuously refined.
